Area Overview
The Village of Kinuso is a small community located on the southern shore of Lesser Slave Lake, in northern Alberta.
The major economic base of the Kinuso region is oil & gas, forestry and agriculture.

The Village of Kinuso is located in the Municipal District of Big Lakes No. 125, in north-central Alberta on the southern shore of Lesser Slave Lake.It is at the junction of Highway 2 and Highway 33.

Water Supply
The water supply is administered by the Village of Kinuso.Water for residents in the surrounding rural area is provided by the Kinuso Rural Water Co-op Ltd.
Waste Management
Sewage treatment and garbage collection are both administered by the Village of Kinuso.Garbage pick-up is bi-weekly during the summer and weekly the rest of the year.

Kinuso's location close to Lesser Slave Lake makes the community an ideal place for water-based recreation such as fishing, water-skiing, windsurfing, boating, swimming, canoeing etc.
Spruce Point Park is open from mid-May to the Labour Day weekend, and offers camping facilities, a marina, store and shower facilities.
Recreational facilities in Kinuso include a skating rink, curling rink, swimming pool, bowling alley, the Kinuso School Gymnasium, playgrounds, and a ball diamond.
The Kinuso & District Recreation Board has the mandate to offer recreational and cultural programs for Kinuso residents.Services include programs in arts & crafts, bowling, swimming, and swimming lessons [lake].In addition, the Central Lesser Slave Lake Agricultural Society offers a number of community activities as well as agricultural events.
