Today, Barrhead has grown to a community of approximately 4,200 people.
The Town of Barrhead is part of the historic Klondike Trail and is the centre of one of Alberta's richest agricultural and forestry areas. Oil and gas, manufacturing, and the retail trades make up the balance of the economy of the town.
